The final Disco for 2008

At Point England School we usually have a disco every term. This term our disco was held at our school hall on Thursday 20th November. We were fundraising money for our Champions celebration day that's going to be held at Swimarama on Saturday 13th December. It cost everyone $2 to get in and there were snacks and refreshments on sale as well. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and had heaps of fun. There were even games. Year 1 and 2 children played musical statues. Year 3 and 4 did the Limbo and Year 5 and 6 had a dance off. There were prizes as well for best dressed in our theme of Go for Green, best dancer, best Michael Jackson dancer and winners from each game.
Check out our photos and comment us.

I am so glad you posted some photos to look at because I was stuck on door duty all night and didn't get to see the fun inside :( I can see that everyone had a wonderful time. And it was a good fundraiser for the Champions celebration too.

It looks like everyone was having a wonderful time! I thought those students who were doing the limbo were able to do well! Did any of the teachers dance at the show? That would have been funny maybe. We're having our talent show next week and there will be some dancing. The teachers might do a dance to. Mr Webb did a Mooloo Cow dance on stage last year and that was the best dance ever.

Thanks for putting the photos up.
It was a great night wasn't it! There are a lot of flash looking people in those photos - I don't see me in my dancing outfit though. Oh yes, I wasn't in a dance outfit.

We have Gala days every second year. We raised about $11,000 which was great. We had a brillant day and the weather was great. There were heaps of people from our school community as well as the wider Wanaka community. At the moment we are flat out with our pantomime. We have our show on Thursday night so we should have some photos to show you.
