Disaster Day by the Suns

The Suns group were able to come up with the following together as a group.
Yesterday while we were at school doing normal work, there was a loud noise over the speaker. Before lunch we had to line up outside on the field. Mr Burt told the whole school, to leave and walk to Ruapotaka School. We watched a movie and ate our lunch. Mr Burt said it was OK to return to school.
Here are some highlights from the day and some of the suns have made the voiceover. You can also see the full programme for the day by clicking here.

Hiwarau's Mihi in Maori
As part of our topic for this term, each child will say their mihi in Maori. A mihi is a speech/ talk about themselves. In their Maori mihi, there is a particular order that we follow in our class. You can also click here to see our friends in Melville Intermediate, Hamilton and the way they present their mihi too.
This is Hiwarau's first post for the year.
