Last week we were very fortunate to Skype with our friends in America. For a majority of the class, it was their first time (including the teacher). The children were all very excited to speak live with Dr John Strange and some of his students. Below is what we recorded but if you click here and then another link on that post, you will see what Dr John Strange recorded. It was lots of fun. Thanks again to our friends in America. We hope to Skype again with them, our friends around the country and the world soon.

Hi Room 10,
I am glad your recording worked. I have some more that I recorded and will try and get it made into a movie also.
Thank you so much for sharing. It is wonderful to learn about you, your school, Auckland, and the activities in which you participate.
I look forward to our next opportunity to Skype. Mrs. Burt and I are going to arrange something just before your term ends.
Thanks again from your friends in America!

I am so sorry I missed that Skype session, maybe next time, but it sure looked like a lot of fun and I'm glad all of you had a chance to do it. Room 10, what did you think about the big bearded man from America?
Hi,
I was in class when we skyped you guys. I loved talking to you all and being able to listen to your responses. It was very exciting to know a little bit about what the kids like to eat and activities they like to do.
I truly enjoyed the conversation!

Thanks so much for your talk to Dr. Strange and one of his classes. Enjoyed seeing you all, and hearing about your likes and dislikes, and about New Zealand as well. By the way, I used to pretend when I was little that I was from New Zealand. I don't know why. I just liked the sound of it.Thanks again!

I was in Dr. Strange's class when we held the Skype conversation. I enjoyed it so much! I really enjoyed hearing what some of your favorite foods are, and I think it was fantastic that you all sang for us. I have told many people about being able to talk with your class, and I hope I can let my students do the same type of activity when I become a teacher.
I do have one question for you: Did you think we talk funny? (Most people think we do!) :) I'm just playing, you don't have to answer that.
