Our class are having a Talent Show today. It was optional for students. They've been practicing for the last five weeks. They came up with their own items, songs and performances and practised during lunchtimes. Here is one item from Kaharau, Germaine and Joshua.

Fangapulotu and Isaac's Photo Album

The Jandals group read a story called "Grandpa's Photo Album" by Peter Friend and Alicia Ponder. The story is about grandpa and his new computer. Anzac Day

Today our school had a special assembly in remembrance of ANZAC Day. Lots of us have learned a bit more about why this day is special and why we need to remember this. We were very lucky to be given a field for us to gather around. We heard and hope that other schools around New Zealand held something similar too. We had a minutes silence and our prefects did a special karakia too.

Point England School Picnic 2015

Every year in the first term our whole school walks down to Point England Beach. The children spend the day playing sports, making sand castles, playing on the playground, swimming and there's even a Sing-a-long. Here are some photos of our day down at the beach. River Talks

This term our children looked at natural features in our environment. We focused a lot on Omaru Creek. The creek is just off Elstree Avenue is Glen Innes. For the last few years, people in the community have come together to try and educate people on how to care for the Omaru Creek. River Talks was hosted here and our classes got to visit the presentations and listen to guests share. Here a few photos from our visit.

Camp Concert: Winners

At our annual Year 5/6 Camp, we have a camp concert. In teams, children have to learn a dance and perform a team chant. They only have 3 days to practice. The concert winners are Honest Squad with their dance to Kung Fu Fighting by Cee Lo Green.
