Year 5 and 6 Camp has begun!!

This year we celebrate our 25th anniversary in hosting a Year 5 and 6 Camp. Our school is very lucky to be surrounded by beautiful landscape, the Point England beach and a local pool. Here are some pictures of what we got up to today.

Kids Safety Day 2015

On Saturday I went with my aunty Bev, aunty Nooroa and my cousins to the Kids Safety Day at the Point England Reserve.
There were lots of people there. I saw my friends Christian, Angelo and Emmanuel from school.
I went to a police car and got to dress up in a police uniform too. This is me - Taraia.

Welcome Back to 2015

The school year has finally begun for 2015. Watch this space as there are new children in Room 8 and stay tuned to see photos of our brand new classroom. Our classroom is a Modern Learning Environment and we are so excited to share this with you

Class Party 2015

To celebrate our wonderful year together, we decided to have a class party. The children were assigned jobs from sharing dance items to the clean up crew. We had so much fun. Here is a short clip to share our time together.

Football Festival 2014

On Monday 15th December, our school had a Football Festival. The Juniors had their games from 9-11am, the Year 5/6's at 11.30am-1pm and the Year 3/4s from 2pm onwards.

The Auckland Art Gallery

2014 Manaiakalani Film Festival: Rock, Sword, Firecracker

Here is our entry for the Manaiakalani Film Festival 2014. Our movie came about an idea of where the game Rock, Paper and Scissors came from. We found a script from this free plays site called  Freedrama.net. We adapted it slightly to ensure that our movie was within the time limit.
The students had lots of fun learning their lines, dressing up in costumes and acting it out. Thank you Freedrama.net and all those who helped with our movie.

Art Attack

This term's inquiry is called Art Attack. We will be learning about pieces of art from the Impressionist Era. It's going to be a busy term with a trip to the Art Gallery, our Manaiakalani Film Festival, Athletics and Prizegiving. We also have testing this term.
