School has begun and term 4 is finally here! This morning our school had an Immersion Assembly. It is the staff's way of introducing the inquiry to our children for the term. It is based all on Science and the material world. Here are some highlights of our assembly including Team 4's movie. Enjoy!

Term 3: We are the Champions

Term 3 has begun and our tumuaki Mr Burt and Mrs Burt have returned from their trip overseas. Our school wide inquiry is called: We are the Champions and we are focusing on the Olympics. Our team are looking at the Olympics "Exposed". Here was our team movie and a short snippet from today's assembly. Enjoy and watch this space for more work from our class.

Term 2: As I see it

This term has begun. Our inquiry is called "As I see It". We are focusing on art. In team 4 we will be looking at comic art. Here is a movie that was made by Mr Goodwin to get our children hooked into the topic.

Term 3 Inquiry: Trade and Enterprise

This term our schoo-wide inquiry is all about Trade and Enterprise.
Team One are looking at products and having a Market Day. Team Two are going to market and produce Ice Cream. Team Three are investigating jobs in today's world. Team Five are looking at different ways of being financially responsible.

Our Team are going to focus on having our own Economy with our team. The students are going to looks at ways of creating a product to market to consumers. They are going to learn about the step and processes of how it all works. Here is a short clip of what we did in Immersion Assembly.

Barbie comes to Immersion Assembly

This term our topic is called "Toy Story" and every first day of term the teachers of Pt England School get dressed up, dance, act or make a movie to get children hooked into the term's topic. Watch as we share with you some footage from the teachers in Team 3 (Room 8,9,10,11 and 12) as they perform and give you information about Barbie. Term 4 has begun and our topic is "Food Glorious Food". At the beginning of every term we have a special assembly to get everyone interested in the topic.
