Immersion Day

Team 4 had heaps of fun today. It was all about science experiments. Mr Somerville and Mr Goodwin looked at blowing stuff up (with dry ice), Miss West and Mr Baxendine looked at other experiments using dry ice and Mrs Moala and Miss Lavakula made a bouncy ball. Here are some photos and a short clip of what we did today.

Term 2: As I see it

This term has begun. Our inquiry is called "As I see It". We are focusing on art. In team 4 we will be looking at comic art. Here is a movie that was made by Mr Goodwin to get our children hooked into the topic.

Term 3 Immersion Assembly

Here is a snippet of our special assembly we had yesterday. We always have an Immersion Assembly, on the first day of every term. It's a chance for teachers to dress up and act as a character. It's heaps of fun and the children love it.

Yvarna's Immersion Writing

Every term apart from term 1, Pt England School have an Immersion Assembly. It is a special assembly because teachers dress up in costumes, make movies and sometimes do silly things to get the children hooked into the Inquiry for the term. This term our topic is Art Alive. Term 4 has begun and our topic is "Food Glorious Food". At the beginning of every term we have a special assembly to get everyone interested in the topic. This term our topic is called "The Art in Storytelling". We are going to be learning about different Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes.
