Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas

Our school year has ended and now we are all on holiday. We would like to thank you all for visiting our blog and leaving comments on posts. But, most of our blogs will still be active over the holidays. On our last day, we played games, had a small shared morning tea and final assemblies to farewell staff members but also our year 8's who move onto high school next year.
We wish you all a great holiday and wonderful Christmas.

Point England Prizegiving 2015

Every year our children share an item for prize giving to celebrate their achievements this year. Also because our families and community love seeing their children on the stage. The children have been practicing very hard and have had heaps of fun along the way. Check out the Year 6 item.

Year 5s applying for Ambassadors in 2016

Each year the year 5 children are given an opportunity to apply to be a Year 6 Ambassador. This year our year 5's were lucky enough to listen to our Year 6 Ambassadors give their presentation.
Here is Kaharau's application and you can find some examples here too. Good luck to all year 5 applicants for this year. To leave a comment on Kaharau's application click here.

Statistics

WALT: study information (data), collect it, summarise and present it

Our maths class have been learning about Statistics. Statistics is when you gather information to find things out. First I had to create a google form. Then I got my friends to fill it out. Using spreadsheet, I created my graph.

In my class, six people liked picnic. Only one person liked Flake. Three people liked Snickers and dairy milk.

Next time, I would like to find out about how many children in my class like different movies.
